enchika (“we”) handles personal information in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and other applicable laws, as described below.

1. What we collect

• Information you enter in the contact form: name, company or organization, email, phone, your message, budget range and timeline
• Information sent along with the form: the page you sent it from, the referring URL, and campaign parameters such as utm_source
• Access logs recorded by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and time of access

2. How we use it

• To answer your inquiry and contact you
• To prepare proposals and quotes
• To prevent abusive submissions and keep the website secure
• To improve our website and services, using aggregated data that does not identify you

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

4. Service providers

We entrust the handling of personal information to the following providers, only as far as needed for the purposes above, and after checking that they manage it appropriately.

• Google LLC (United States): storing inquiries in Google Sheets
• Vercel Inc. (United States): hosting the website and processing the form, mainly in its Tokyo region
• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): checks against abusive submissions, when enabled
• Our team chat provider (Slack or Discord, United States): internal alerts for new inquiries, when enabled. Alerts contain only your name, company and services of interest, never your email or message

5. Transfers outside Japan

The providers above are based in the United States, and information may be stored or processed on servers outside Japan. For information on the US privacy framework, see the materials published by Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission. Each provider takes measures equivalent to those required under the APPI.

6. Security

We protect personal information with encrypted connections, by limiting who can access it, and by managing access permissions.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete it.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. To record where a form submission came from, it briefly uses your browser’s session storage. That information disappears when you close the browser and only reaches us if you send the form.

9. Access, correction and deletion

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask us to stop using it, contact us through the contact form. We will confirm your identity and respond as required by law.

10. Changes

We may update this policy when needed. We will announce significant changes on this page.
